City a "No Show" at Special Waterway Meeting |

Ann & Larry Ebbert would have never thought dealing with the city would be so time consuming, and frustrating. "Not my responsibility" has been heard from every form of Government. The Plantation Isles residents and Home Owners Association President have been leading the charge for months, to see if our Mayor would at least assist with their Waterway Issues. As reported last week, the neighbors filled the council chambers and were given "Lip Service" from Councilmembers Bendekovic and Tingom, according to one resident. Even City Attorney Lunny was admonished for his 'Arrogance" in this matter...
I met today with Ann & Larry, some neighbors, Michael Pshar, an Ecologist with Quest Ecology, and Melanie Sexton, of the Corrandino Group. Melanie is the Public Information Officer for the 595 project, which many residents on the waterway are saying is impacting their canals with Hydrilla, and other unsafe plant life.
